INFANT FEEDING CONSULTATION
This consultation is designed to give you personalized support and guidance, helping you feel confident and supported in your breastfeeding journey.
During our visit, I will perform a thorough assessment of both you and your baby, including:
Weighing your baby before and after a feed to see exactly how much milk is being transferred
Observing a feeding to help your baby achieve an effective latch in multiple positions
Assessing pumping equipment, including flange size, if relevant
Identifying any barriers to feeding and discussing strategies, adjustments, or referrals to trusted providers if needed
This is a safe, judgment-free space where you can bring up any questions or concerns. After our session, I will send you a detailed care plan within 24 hours, so you don’t have to worry about remembering everything we discussed.

This consultation is designed to give you personalized guidance and confidence tailored to your particular situation.
During our session, we’ll cover everything you need, including:
A detailed pumping and feeding plan tailored to your situation
Pump setup, proper flange fitting, and usage instructions
Human milk handling, storage, and preparation information
Formula handling and preparation if combo feeding
Bottle selection and guidance on feeding amounts by age/stage
Infant weight check and plotting on a clinical growth chart
Oral motor and structural assessment of your baby
Breast and nipple exam and treatment if indicated
Counseling on normal newborn behavior
After our consultation, you’ll receive a specialized care plan to meet your feeding and lactation needs.

I can help with a variety of bottle feeding challenges, including bottle refusal, poor seal or leakage from the bottle nipple, fussiness during feeds, and other bottle-related issues. I also work with formula feeding families.
Please note: this consultation focuses solely on bottle feeding and does not include latch checks, milk supply management, or breastfeeding support. If you’d like help with those areas as well, I recommend booking one of the other consultations. Bottle refusal support is generally for babies under 6 months; for babies older than six months, we can explore soft straw sippy cups, which I am also trained to support.
During the session, we will:
Check your baby for oral issues that may affect feeding
Work on improving bottle feeding technique
Suggest oral function exercises and different bottle options if appropriate
After our consultation, you’ll receive a specialized care plan.
